"Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me"-- Luke 9:48

First Presbyterian Church has had a long heritage of youth programming. Recently, we launched new outreach efforts to children in our community through weekly gatherings both indoors and out, including at our campground, the Nelsonville Presbyterian Farm.  Young people gather for games, snacks, music, and a brief Bible lesson.

The church has also led Vacation Bible School during the summer, a draw for children from the community.  An important outreach tool of the church, children engage in themes of the Faith and enjoy games, songs, and other activities.

Some of our young children have participated in the Presbyterian Pre-Kindergarten Program held at our church.  The pastor leads singing and regular Bible story activities with the Pre-Kindergarten class during the week and builds strong ties with the children through the course of the school year.   For more information about our Presbyterian Pre-Kindergarten, find them on Facebook

Our goal is to see children grow in the knowledge of God’s love for them.  With the wealth of children in both the Pre-K program and surrounding community, we desire to partner with parents to welcome and nurture the faith of more children in our midst.
