Peter Galbraith, Pastor

Peter became pastor of First Presbyterian Church in February of 2011. Prior to coming to Nelsonville, Peter worked as a hospital chaplain at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, California. He also taught English as a second language for three years in Vietnam, and served there another two years in organizational leadership. Peter has a B.A. from Miami University of Ohio, and both an M.A. in Cross-Cultural Studies and M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary. Peter is involved locally with Food for Thought, a campus ministry at Hocking College, The Athens County Foundation, and the Nelsonville Rotary Club.

In his free time, Peter loves a good match of tennis (and, more recently, pickle ball), good film and television, quality time with his daughter, Lily Anne (who is NOT featured in this photograph) and staying connected with family and friends near and far.

 

Molly Prudenti, Worship Leader

Molly has been leading worship at First Presbyterian Church since 2020. She has consistently served in a position of church Music/Worship Leader for thirty-three years. After having lived in many different places, she knows that it’s the people who make the place and she is happy to have landed in Nelsonville, Ohio at First Presbyterian Church, were she gets to make music weekly with the most talented musicians.

Molly is a mother of Taylor (daughter) and the grandmother of Julien (grandson), and lives with her dog, “Ike” and two cats “Ollie” and “Miss Lena.” She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Education from Ohio University (1995) and a Master of Education in College Student Personnel from Ohio University (2010). She is currently teaching Vocal Music at Nelsonville-York Middle and High Schools, a thirty-year dream that was realized in 2021.
